A follow on from our winter Agroforestry design and establish workshop, this practical class will cover how to manage your food forest or orchard with natural farming practices.

Location

Birch Farm
Birch Farm, Woolfardisworthy, Bideford

Here at Birch Farm, we have been pioneering regenerative growing practices based on Natural Farming principles for the last 4 years. One of the areas we are very excited about is Agroforestry and the development of Food Forests. This three hour course will cover the overall management of Agroforestry; from pruning and mulching to caring for an intensive agroforestry system using the ideas of Natural Farming.

Course content will be delivered by our Head Gardener, Joshua Sparkes, and his team. This will be a practical, hands on learning session where we share our trials, successes and challenges in the various Agroforestry systems we have established on the farm; syntropic systems, edible forests, orchards and bringing trees into perennial vegetable beds.

With your workshop confirmation you recieve 10% off throughout The Collective at Woolsery on the day; join us for lunch at The Farmers Arms, pick up supplies at J Andrew Shop, or stay the night with us in one of our rooms or cottages!
