Shop Room 3

Vintage feminine charm
Bedrooms 1
Sleeps 2 adults

Located in a historic building in the centre of the pretty village of Woolsery, this is a very special place to stay

Let the carefully styled and crafted interiors whisk you to the glamour and charm of the 1940s via soft pastel colours and pretty retro prints. In the bathroom, a statement primrose-yellow tub will act as a siren’s call for an extended soak before dinner.

This bright room is built into the rafters of the building and features an astonishingly expansive skylight, which reveals views of the village’s Medieval church tower. On clear evenings, pour a glass of something good from the mini bar of premium drinks and snuggle down in the sitting area to watch the stars illuminate the night sky.

The rooms, suites and cottages of The Collective have been awarded a prestigious One-Key Michelin rating.

Room 3 has been created in the space above the village shop, which has been entirely remodelled to create two bespoke suites and two cosy rooms. The original shop and its two-storey flat was built by The Collective at Woolsery founder Michael Birch’s great-grandparents and was where his grandmother was born.

Back in the hands of the Birch family, the space has been reimagined to capture the essence of the 1930s and 1940s, a period when Michael’s grandmother would have delivered milk around the parish on her bicycle.
