A luxury Christmas break in Devon is an evergreen favourite; it’s a lovely time to get away for a little escapism and some wild adventures in the countryside.
If you’re thinking about coming to stay at our Michelin-Key award-winning rooms, suites or cottages and are wondering what else there is to do here at The Collective at Christmastime, read on. Of course, you don’t need to be a guest at our accommodation to enjoy the festive fun, as there’s lots for everyone to get stuck in to.
The menu at The Farmers Arms changes each season, so winter is the perfect time to visit the pub to discover what produce our Birch Farm gardens can supply deep into the chilly months. Head Chef Toby Neal takes the just-picked ingredients and turns them into fittingly festive and delicious dishes.
Whatever you choose from the menu, make sure you start your visit with a glass of homemade warm mulled cider which Jay creates each day to keep our guests cosy and cheerful. A glass by the fire in the pub is such a special and traditional experience.
Why not join us for our annual wreath-making workshop at Birch Farm? This year it’s being held on November 30 at the newly launched The Potting Shed on the farm. The joyful afternoon sees our guests taking a step-by-step approach to making a beautiful evergreen wreath which they get to take home. The session includes a glass of that delicious mulled cider, cake, and, of course, very good company. Book the wreath-making workshop here.
Those who sign up for the workshop are also eligible for a 20 per cent discount throughout The Collective at Woolsery during that day. You could use it when you join us for dinner at The Farmers Arms, on a takeaway feast from Woolsery Fish & Chips, when you pick up fresh produce, gifts and stocking fillers at J Andrew Shop, or when you stay the night at our award-winning accommodation.
A visit to The Collective is guaranteed to put you in the festive mood and we’ll be delighted to see you. Any questions, please do get in touch at [email protected]
